Working with no signal

What the field app does without signal, and how saved tests are sent.

You can run and file a test with no signal. The test is saved on the phone and sent when there is signal again.

What works with no signal

  • Opening a stop that was already loaded.
  • The whole test: the tag photo, the details and the readings.
  • Filing. The app says the test is saved on this phone and sends by itself. It is filed only once. The time of the test is when you tapped File the test, not when it was sent.

What needs signal

  • Reading the tag from the photo. Type the details yourself.
  • Tell them I'm on the way.
  • Can't do this stop.
  • Saving access notes under Getting in.

How saved tests are sent

My day shows how many tests are saved on this phone, waiting for signal. They send by themselves when the phone is back online, when you open My day, and every 30 seconds while the app is open. Tap Send now to try at once.

Keep the app open until the tests have gone. Saved tests are kept on that phone only. Don't sign out or switch phones until they are sent.

If a test wasn't accepted

My day shows a red banner when a test wasn't accepted. Open the stop to see why. Tap Fix and file again, fix what it says, and file again.

Paper backup

If a phone or tablet dies, fill in a paper test form and phone the office. The office files the result.
