Sign up and set up your company
Create your account, name your company and fill in the few details the app needs.
Signing up is free and needs no card. Your company starts in test mode, so nothing reaches a customer or a water district until you are ready (see Test mode and going live).
1. Create your account
- Go to app.backflowbase.com/signup.
- Enter your Name, Email and a Password of at least 8 characters.
- Click Create account.
- Open the email we send you and click the link to verify your address. This signs you in.
2. Set up your account
On Set up your account, check your name, add a photo if you like, and click Continue.
3. Name your company
On Create an organization, enter your company's name and click Create organization. In the app, your "organization" is your testing company. You are its owner.
4. Set up your company
The Start page lists what to do next. Click Set up your company, or go to Settings → Company, and fill in Set up your company:
- Legal name: as it should read on a filed test report.
- Time zone: every date in the app, such as arrival windows, is a date in this zone.
- State and ZIP: where the company does its testing.
- Phone and Email. Add the email: in test mode, every message goes there.
- Regular price, first device: a one-time test for the first backflow device.
Click Save and continue. Everything else has a default you can change later in Company profile and prices.
Backflow Base isn't taking new companies in Washington, Oregon, Idaho or Montana yet. The form says so as soon as you enter one of those states or ZIP codes.
5. The rest of the Start checklist
- Invite your office and testers: see Members and roles.
- Add your first job: see The schedule.
Then set up your booking page, card payments and, if you use Quo, phone bookings.
Did an AI assistant sign you up?
If an assistant created your company, you got an email to take it over. Follow it to the sign-in page, which says Take over your company, and click Send magic link. Sign-in links work once, for a few minutes, so send a new one if it has expired.
Signing in later
Sign in at app.backflowbase.com/login with your password, a Magic link sent to your email, or a passkey. You can add a passkey and two-factor authentication under Account settings → Security.
